Loudonville, N.Y. - Camielle Karimzad and Amber McMichael each recorded hat tricks as the Wagner water polo team edged Siena 10-9 this afternoon in the MAAC Water Polo Tournament consolation game at the McCann Natatorium in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. The loss ended the Saints' season at 11-20, the first year in program history that the team had advanced to the MAAC Tournament.

The Green and Gold got off to a quick offensive start, harboring a 3-2 lead after the first. Wagner rallied to tie the game at 4-4 entering intermission, before taking the lead for good in the third.

Reigning MAAC Player of the Week Lauren Garrigan paced the Saints with five goals. Camille Norman added a pair, while Lauren Biehle and Devan Ragg accounted for the other tallies.

Both teams drew four ejections apiece.

Prior to the game, the conference held their yearly awards ceremony, with several Saints being honored. Garrigan was named to the First Team, while goalie Lisa Reilly was chosen to the All-MAAC Second Team.

In her first full season as head coach, Ellen Howe was named the Anaconda Sports Coach of the Year after leading the program to their most successful campaign in program history.

Junior Erin Clune represented the Saints as an All-Academic honoree. A junior, Clune posted a 3.28 GPA as a Political Science major.
