Annual Men's Basketball Green and Gold Game Moved to Pepsi Arena
Sept. 28, 2006 The Siena men's basketball team will hold its annual Green and Gold game on Sunday, October 22 at 2 p.m. The event, which is open to the general public and free of charge, will take place in the Pepsi Arena for the first time. In addition to a new venue, the Green and Gold game will have added interest as the Saints have eight players on their roster who did not play last season. Expectations are high for the upstart Saints which exceeded all expectations a year ago and figure to be among the favorites in the MAAC this season. This will be the public's only chance to see the team in action prior to the start of the season. As a result of NCAA regulations, the Saints will not play any preseason exhibition games that are open to the general public or media. The move to Pepsi Arena is an attempt to help drive season ticket sales for the upcoming season. Available seats will be tagged and staff members will be on hand to answer any questions prospective season ticket holders may have. Season tickets are still available and as affordable as $158. They may be obtained by contacting the Pepsi Arena at 518-487-2085. The Siena men begin competition at Stanford University on November 11. The home season tips off on Wednesday, November 29 when the Saints host Hofstra.
